Starting today there will be a weekly segment about cheap-skate tricks and tips taken from other sites reiterated here (I AM a cheap-skate!). Hosted by the great staff of well …… who else? this blog…. yeah

So, to start us off on the first week we have a battery saving trick straight from Lifehacker.

Sometimes it seems that today’s electronic devices gobble up batteries faster than we can buy them. Learn how to get the most life out of your batteries by following the simple tips below.

One option is the “Hand-Me Down” approach. When a high output device such as a camera or CD player renders a battery useless, a low output device such as a remote or clock could still squeeze out a little more juice.
