An Orbital Drop Shock Trooper.

You are an ODST, or Orbital Drop Shock Trooper. You are the finest of the UNSC’s soldiers. You take pride in being the first into any battlefield. Although not as armoured, powerful, or large as your Spartan companions, that is made up by your pure determination and nerve. This is the role that you take in the new game in the Halo series game Halo 3 ODST.

This looks like an amazing game. The same great game play as in the original Halo games but with some new and added features. It takes place 3 weeks before Halo 3, and you have just landed in New Mombasa, an imaginary city around the Kenya of the future.

Unlike the previous Halo games Halo 3 ODST is a sandbox environment, much like Grand Theft Auto. For those not in the know, a sandbox game is an environment where you can interact in any way. For example Grand Theft Auto is based in a city, you are the main character and you can pretty much do anything you want; there isn’t a specific order to do the missions and the results are completely open ended and in some way affect your future. Halo 3 ODST is pretty much a sandbox Halo game. Also a new feature called “firefight” is where you have wave after wave of enemies coming at you and you have to kill them.

A bonus is that there are very cinematic “flashbacks” throughout the game providing a very good storyline, much like the rest of the Halo franchise
