Link Farm – Mickey Mouse Owns Spiderman, Ebay doesnt own Skype, and getting screwed by Apple

On the World Wide Web, a link farm is any group of web sites that all hyperlink to every other site in the group. Although some link farms can be created by hand, most are created through automated programs and services. A link farm is a form of spamming the index of a search engine (sometimes called spamdexing or spamexing).

This week Disney has sealed the deal to obtain Marvel. From reports this won’t change the way business is done at Marvel except that now Disney is their parent company now.

So what does this do to Marvel? Well nothing much as previously stated but Marvel may be looking into producing more animated series now that they are part of Disney who owns Pixar.

Also this week; Ebay sells most of Skype to a group of venture capitilists. The group paid $1.9 billion in cash for 65% of Skype valuing it at $2.75billion. This price is more than 30% less than the $4.1billion Ebay paid for Skype in 2005. *Ouch*

It seems that Apple is pissing off more and more developers with their rescrictions on the App Store. So it isnt suprising that “Digg engineer-turned-iPhone developer” Joe Stump just happens to be the latest pissed off iPohone developer to put up a skathing swearing entertaining blog post. Pass the lubricant as we’re getting f***** by Apple too.
